Fire Boy and Water Girl The Light Temple: Is an extensive add on to fun a puzzle game where you play as both Fire boy and water girl. You control both characters at the same time, one uses the arrow keys and the other uses “WASD.” It takes a little getting used to, but you’ll get used to this interesting control scheme. They both have basically the same powers, but water girl can safely walk through water while fire boy is immune to fire. The puzzles in the game get really intricate and challenging, and there’s a ton of levels that have a branching patter so you can work your way to the final level in a number of different ways. It’s also nice if you’re stuck on a certain level, because you can always try some different paths and then come back to it. The new feature of the light beams adds to the already impressive array of different problems to solve. You’ll have to reflect the light on spinning mirrors and movable boxes to activate certain switches. This aspects works well with the game’s two-player concept.
The game play is smooth and challenging, and the style makes for a pretty cute puzzler. Don’t be fooled though because this game gets really tricky. There are a great variety of puzzle styles and elements, so you never feel like you’re treading the same ground as you work through all the levels. The sheer amount of levels will keep you busy for a while, especially if you want to complete every level to get the best score possible. A fan of puzzle games will find this one is a real treat, and it keeps coming with level after level of puzzle solving goodness.
