Even online gamers need to rest from time to time, from tiresome games. That is exactly the reason why casual games were invented. No need to think, no need to plan, just shoot and forget. It has been done on on Roly Poly cannon, bubble shooter and on so many games, this concept works.
Sundrops gives us that exact formula, you aim you shoot and you forget.
The game play is quite simple, you aim the sun and try hitting all pearls. Aiming is done by your mouse, nothing special or complex here.
Sundrops reminded me a backward breakout game, or even the good old flipper games we used to play on the arcade halls.
Exactly like breakout, this game offers cool upgrades and downgrades, like split balls, bigger and smaller ammo and of course ghost ball that hovers over obstacles onto the target.
The nice life boat that assists you along the way, is a nice Santa little helper also, and adds nice flavor to the game.
Another great feature that distincts Sundrops from the rest of the breakout games is the physics-engine that is being utilized in various in-game objects- Wood parts, balls and stuff that could be removed by hitting them right.
If you have some spare time and want to enjoy a real casual game, Sundrops is a great option. With a wide variety of 44 levels and 4 unlockable game modes like - Kid's Mode with unlimited shots, Survival Mode that offers infinite shots and the well-known Time Attack that adds the time factor for the added challenge.
All in all Sundrops is a fun little arcade game, with cute graphics and game play that appeals to casual gamers from all kinds, and it receives 3.5 Bgames stars.
