Rocket Science: is a neat little game, that doesn’t require a degree in astrophysics to play (though it might help) but it does offer up a ton of fun, and a unique puzzle experience. You have to set up a rocket, or a series of rockets, to hit certain points on the map that are marked by planets. There are 3 kinds of planets that show up, bronze silver and gold, and you have to collect all of them to earn gold. Collecting just bronze, or bronze and silver will ear you those respective medals. Some Every level has a different set up, and different obstacles in the way of you and the planets, and it makes things interesting when you have to take into account the well-implemented affect of gravity, and all the unique obstacles in your way. There are walls that your rocket will simply bounce up against and get redirected, and some are pushable objects that you can nudge and shove out of the way. It’s really smooth game play with nice physics, which is exactly what you are looking for in this type of game. The spacey style is quirky, and some of the quotes you get at the end of levels are pretty hilarious.
There’s enough variety between the levels to keep things interesting, and while there isn’t a huge amount of elements to the game play it is a solid game that offers puzzle and physic game fans a new and exciting challenge. Sure there could have been upgrades for your rockets, or crazy black hole obstacles that can suck your space ships in, but it honestly doesn’t need all those flashy bells and whistles. It’s simple and delivers a good time and a real challenge doesn’t frustrate. You have to appreciate this game for its great physics and the fact it keeps things simple and still engaging.
I give Rocket Science 4 out of 5 Bgames stars.
