Russians have always been special people, living up there in the north. They have special costumes, different mentality and above all big pride in the heritage and country.
Red Menace is no different, it might look like another physics game we already saw before ( Red Remover, Civiballs ,etc...), but there's something different about it.
The first thing you will notice is the asmazing art the game displays, the graphics is dark and gloomy, and the games delivers an old sci-fi apocalyptic mood. The sounds also draw attention, and take you way back to the comrade days.
While the tutorial levels remind us of some earlier games, we are swiftly introduced to the Gravity change option, that gives a very interesting twist to the game), the option of changing the gravity endless times opens a new hatch to solving levels, pay special attention to level 11, where you actually make the ball fly by constantly pressing the G button.
One of the most enjoyable features of Red Menace is its game-play, the game is not one of the hardest physics games you ever encountered, the difficulty level goes up steadily and while your brain cells will work, you will not feel exhausted while battling most levels ( Except for levels 39 and 40 that present quite a challenge to the average physics games fan). Another level that kept me busy for long minutes was level 38 that really shows the importance of timing and coordination.
All in all, Red Menace is a very fun physics games, it delivers smooth game-play with mid difficulty levels, the art is great and the atmosphere is adding to the overall feeling, this is one game you should definitely try, especially cause you have a real chance of finishing it ( and enjoying along the way).
