As you may or may not noticed, there's a lot of top-down space shooter falling upon us lately. Reactance could be referred as another one but its amazing variation of upgrades is what differs it from the rest of the bunch.
Reactance is a wild space adventure that evolves around 15 addictive levels.
Like many online space shooter games it consists collectible medals and achievements ( 35 to be exact) that add some nice playing value.
Reactance has an increasingly advanced difficulty level, and the game becomes quite difficult after the second level, which leads us to the main focus of the game-Upgrades. The game put a very strong focus on the upgrades and to be exact you can not pass too many levels without purchasing a big amount of upgrades.
Talking about upgrades you will encounter lots of the more known purchases like health regenaration, helath cap, shields and speed. What I really enjoyed is the ally upgrade that creates loyal allies that assist you on your battles and of course the more advanced purchasable weapons like Lasers and rockets that really boost your offensive capabilities.
I must note that I really enjoyed Reactance , even though it presents a plain graphics and sound. The game play was easy to master and the game felt very smooth from the start. Like many games that offer many upgrades, some tweaking in over-powered weapons could be used ( the Pulse for instance), but overall I can't say I have too many negative comments about this game.
Another thumbs up for the music that was really enjoyable and gets you into battle mode.
All in all Reactance is a fun top-down shooter game with an anourmous amount of upgrades and lots of action, if you're looking for a content packed space shooter, it's highly recommended.
