Pumpkin Remover 2 is a neat little puzzle game that will be a pleasing Halloween treat this year for any fans of the Red Remover series. The goal is to remove wretched rotting pumpkins from the map while maintaining the security of the fresh jack-o-lanterns. You have to click pumpkins to remove them from the map, and usually physics will take over after that. You have to use to physics of the world and timing to make sure you remove as many pumpkins as possible with the fewest amount of clicks. There is now also the addition of flaming and “grey” pumpkins that can be ignited by the fireballs. It’s a nice touch, and adds a fun Halloween glow to the game. Plus now there is a new strategy for dealing with normal, rotten and flaming pumpkins all at once. This holiday fun pack goes beyond just adding new maps and an orange and black paint job; it actually has some new content here.
The game play is as fun as ever, and with the new style it’s just in time to get you ready for Halloween. This is great holiday fun from a series that always delivers. Sure it’s not a complete sequel, and the new pumpkins don’t add a huge amount of new content or puzzles, but for a Halloween game it really is pretty nice. The solid physics and game play you loved in the other “Remover” games is still there with a slight tweak to warrant a full play through instead of just a glimpse. If it didn’t add this new element it would just be a simple level pack with a skin change, but at least they put some thought into it and added something fresh that’s even Halloween related! I give Pumpkin Remover 2 4 stars out of 5.
