Pigs Can Fly is a quirky little puzzle game, with adorable graphics and fun premise that makes it a unique and engaging puzzle game. You have control over certain colored blocks, or your pig. The goal is to get the pig to a magical rainbow potion so that he can earn his wings and fly away. The blocks can only be manipulated one at a time, and when you switch colors the actions you just took with the first color play themselves out as you move and manipulate the next color. It’s a hard idea to explain but in the game it makes sense, and helps to add some thought process to the puzzle solving. Some of the puzzles are fairly simple, but there’s a few head scratchers in there to keep you on your toes. The game is a lot of fun, because the puzzle are difficult enough to not feel too easy, and require enough thought that it doesn’t get boring. There’s a good variety too, this game isn’t just another puzzler with a cute coat of paint and new music, it really stands out on its own. The levels have a good mix of difficulty and styles of puzzle, some involving physics and some you really need to think about the mechanics of the game. Each puzzle offers a couple ways of solving the problem, which is always nice, but there isn’t really a scoring system so if you’re looking for one of those physics games where you can play each level over and over to get a better score you’re out of luck with Pigs Can Fly. It’s a much more casual experience, and the graphics and game play drive that point home nicely. It’s a nice relaxing game that doesn’t try to be more than what it really is, and for that I give Pigs Can Fly 4 Bgames stars out of 5.
