As we learned from Icy Tower, Bubble shooter and many more, games do not have to be complex or contains lots of features to become addictive and fun.
The game with the long name Paranormal Shark Activity, definitely proves this thesis. The goal of the game is surviving a gigantic shark that has one goal only- Eating you ( and everything else along the way...).
As you might guess the game is basically a platform game with a special there and lots of upgrades.
The game play kinda reminded me of icy tower, only instead of going up and running from the lava, you jump to the side, running from the gigantic shark.
It could be just another platform game, but something about Paranormal Shark Activity makes his special. It might be the soothing music, the sound effects, the addictive game play or maybe the combination of all in one game.
What i liked the most about the game is the fast learning curve, no tutorial needed and whenever you acquire a new upgrade you see a pop-up that explains immediately how to use it ( while freezing the screen of course).
Paranormal Shark Activity has some very nice upgrades along the way- Bombs, Jet-packs and some nice surprises that will help you surviving against the raging shark.
Another nice feature of Paranormal Shark is the huge number of achievmeents ( 30 of them are waiting for your perofmrances ) and some of them are quite hilarious- Kangaroo style for the everlasting jumper, Icarus for the gifted jet-packer and many more along the way.
There are also quite a few surprises along the way, like one time I was sure i slayed the shark by using the bombs, and suddenly he jumped from the other side of the screen...Epic!
All in all Paranormal Shark Activity is a great casual game, that does not demand special learning, it is very intense and even thought your character is being hunted by a huge shark you will have quite a few laughs along the way ( until you get eaten finally).
