Mother Judgment is a quirky run and gun style game, where you play a nun and run around shooting zombies. The concept is hilarious, and kind of reminds of an older flash game called Divine Intervention (in which you play a priest fighting zombies.) While Divine Intervention has stellar graphics, Mother Judgment has much more zombies that are fast and feverish. The game play is fairly smooth, with a few glitches that can get on your nerves but don’t destroy the game. The game play is fun but fairly standard, as you fight mostly the same zombies broken up by some boss fights and a few new weapons to grab. It’s fun at first but the game play can wear you down, especially considering if you die you have to start the levels from the beginning. If you don’t get it in the first couple run through you may simply get bored and move on, and to be honest you wouldn’t be missing too much. The funky premise isn’t enough to save this run of the mill shooter from being just another face in the crowd. It would have been nice to seem some more ways to power up your nun, and more variety in the zombies you face so that those power ups and the new weapons would become useful without sucking the challenge from the game. The glitches could have used some cleaning up too, and the actual graphics are pretty bland. In shoot um ups it’s nice to see the zombies getting blasted away piece by piece, but in this game they just kind absorb a bunch of bullets then die. It takes a bit of satisfaction out of killing the endless hoards. There’s no major downfall to this game, but the minor let downs do add up.
I give Mother Judgment 2.5 Bgames stars out of 5
