Lofty Tower 2 is your typical tower puzzle building game, in which you must rearrange tetris-like pieces plus the occasional hexagon and circle to a specific height to pass the level. Each level solved earns you a piece of a puzzle at certain intervals throughout the game. 30 levels with 5 puzzles to break up the pace a bit.
Pros: The game has no timer to worry you. The graphics are clean and pleasing, the music adds a nice ambiance to the game play. The levels increase in challenge and difficulty, so we got that going for us, which is nice.
Cons: Same old tower puzzle concept different wrapper. Other than that, I can’t think of any real negatives, really, if you like these types of puzzle games, this isn’t a bad one.
Level 20 I found particularly difficult. 3 circles, 1 ‘s’ piece, and 6 ‘l’ pieces. I found the quickest solution was to stack the ’l’s on top of the ‘s’ letting the circles fall where they lay. It might take a try or two to get the placing just so, but it was by far the easiest solution to come through. Level 25 was also challenging, but no answers for that here, sorry. Oh, and no hints to that near impossible 27. It’s a bear of a level and you may just want to bring a lunch to solve it. Happy hunting!
The next best tip I can offer is for you to find the simplest path to a straight line up. There’s no need to be neat and clean with your towers, and don’t hesitate to try strange combinations. You’d be surprised how well strange thinks work.
All in all Lofty Tower 2 is a decent play-3/5 Bgames stars
