While Dr. Evil is not part of the cast, there are many baddies that are willing to take his place and destroy the world, in this fun retro platformer.
The plot reminds us of the old 60's flicks (James Bond and such...) where you partake the part of a tough little agent on the way to save the world from a deadly weapon. The game itself involves jumping, punching and lots of dangerous traps that lurk on all 40 challenging levels.
Among the traps you will encounter sharp spikes, electric traps, moving platforms and of course vicious enemies that carry your picture on their wallet with one word written on it- KILL!
To your aid you will have your fighting techniques and some awesome jumping and climbing skills you collected from your days as a top-notch soldier.
Another cool feature that adds some Flava to the game is the "hidden briefcase" bonus that awaits on various hidden locations.
All in all the game features a very addictive game-play, and like many of the games featured lately ( For instance Color Theory), the developers decided to go with the retro look, which gives us that cool arcade feeling we used to love back then. It seems that Pixel graphics and those squeaky sounds are becoming quite popular among the modern flash gamers.
While "League of Evil" does not offer something different of many retro platformer we are seeing lately, it's still doing a decent job with supplying us a quality game with a cool arcade look and feel.
Pros- Fun, easy to master game-play, cool retro graphics and sounds.
Cons- Been there, done that...
