One of the most popular niches on the web, is the free physics games category. This niche, evolved from simpler puzzle games games is usually using the Box2D game engine to create the exact physics, which allows the programmers to create a real lively gravitational world.
While most games used to be click n' play Kamikaze Blocks is combining 2 worlds- The puzzle shooting genre ( widely seen before on games like Roly Poly cannon, Crush the castle and of course angry birds), and the block removal games ( seen on Colliderix, Red Remover and such as).
I might say that Kamikaze Blocks is a nice effort to create a simple, yet addictive game, and if it did not have some basic flaws this game would be quite perfect.
The game play is based upon little green Kamikaze creatures that you must launch towards strategic points on the screen to create enough mayhem that would drop all the blocks.
Let us start with the pros of the game. The game offers a very wide playability with its increasingly advanced levels, you begin quite simple, but as the game advances you will find lots of features that will help ( or make things difficult, depends) your game play. During the levels you will encounter explosive blocks, chains, toxic blocks and many more.
Another great feature I liked is the 2 mode approach, that allows the gamer to choose whether to play the challenging puzzle mode, with a limited number of shots or arcade mode, which is generally shoot and forget game play.
I personally enjoyed the free arcade mode , but if you are an experienced gamer you will enjoy the puzzle mode a lot more.
What I did not like about the game is the fact it's hard to locate the Restart level button and some levels that seemed to be all about trial and error, no thought.
All in all Kamikaze Blocks is a lovely game, with addictive game play.
