ntospace! is a typical distance/physics game where you launch a rocket into space with the hope of getting to the moon. As you fly you can collect fuel, money and repairs to help you fly further as well as face obstacles like planes, ufo’s and boosters that can either help or hurt depending on whether or not you’re feeling kamikaze-ish.
I like these games, they have an established goal, a method to obtain it and usually nice graphics. This game is no exception to those criteria. The music is pleasant, the graphics aren’t groundbreaking but nothing detracts from the enjoyability of the overall gameplay.
Intospace! employs upgrades for you to spend your hard earned cash on, the durability and maneuverability options don’t seem to add much to your mission, nor do the electricity reducer and plating. If I were playing the game over I would focus mainly on upgrading the thrusters, fuel tanks and boosters along with the fuel efficiency, cash collection and booster fuel.
Another benefit in the game is by accomplishing certain achievements you will gain bonuses to your upgrades like more cash per pickup when you pick up 50 cash bundles in one flight. Spend the first few days testing this out as much as you can-to reach the higher altitudes you need all the help you can get.
Each time you launch the game screen is randomly filled with bonuses and obstacles, so there’s an element of random luck in how fast you accomplish your mission (I took 56 days). I have no doubts there are budding astronauts that will eclipse my first run through.
It’s up to you rocket scientists to prove me obsolete! All in all a decent play: 3/5.
