In3estructoTank is a game where you play as an invincible tank with no weapons besides your hull. This may sound bland, but the variety and challenge comes from getting blown into the air and bouncing off as many enemies as possible. Your combos will earn experience that you can then spend to make certain helicopters more frequent. It’s really a great time if you haven’t played the other IndestructoTank games, and it adds a few new adversaries and modes for those that have blasted their way through the previous installments. The game play is a frantic and fun as ever. You have to manage your fuel and experience as you try to earn big combos. It’s tough to get started, but once you plug in enough points the skies will be filled with bouncy helicopters and the road will flood with little cars to keep your combos going to epic levels. The adventure mode is a neat new touch, and offers up combo challenges. In adventure mode leveling up automatically increases the stats, and will take away the decision factor.
The game is still as fun as the first, and it plays smoothly with a nice premise. New players will be able to jump right into this sequel without being left behind. But veterans of the series may find themselves wanting a bit more extra substance. It feels like it’s been a long time since the second, and besides a new coat of paint there doesn’t seem to be an impressive amount of new content. There are two secret modes to unlock as well, but you still have to plow through the first two modes to get them, and it’s still the same game play as the last two. I would have liked to see some more ships and variety to the actual game play, because after three games even a solid idea can become rather tedious.
