Gravitee Wars: Is a turn based, physics dependant strategy game that plays a lot like the classic “Worms” series. You control a team of space men who can trot around their planets and fire rockets at your enemy. The levels consist of a series of planets, each with its own size and gravitational pull that will affect the trajectory of your shots. It’s really fun to use the orbit’s to blow up the bad guys, because the more a missile zips around the higher your damage multiplier will get. The different levels add variety, and you can also buy upgrades and new weapons for your teammates. After every match you get a medal based on how many shots you fired, and then you get precious points to spend on those upgrades and weapons, even new teammates to help you in your quest for intergalactic dominance. The weapons here are much more stander and then the ones you find in the “Worms” series, but they are plentiful and they change up the game play nicely. The physics aspect of the game is really neat, and this is what separates it from “Worms.” You have to contest with gravitational pull to get your shots through, but you can also get saucy and try to get a missile to orbit a planet a few times before landing home, this will rack up your multiplier for some great damage. It’s a lot of fun to try out all the different weapons and levels, and the fact you can upgrade and name your team creates a little attachment to your loyal squad. It’s not the most original idea around, but it is a solid turn based fighting game that incorporates the unique aspect of battling planet it planet. It’s particularly fun when you blast a baddie right off his own planet, even better if he smacks right into another one!
I give Gravitee Wars 4 Bgames stars out of 5
