"Oh, the lights, someone please turn off those darn lights!!!", that was my initial reaction when i first played Give Up,Robot. If you ever experienced any epileptic attacks, this is NOT a game for you :) If you're not in the risk audience, feel free reading the rest...(PS- If you really want to tease your eyes, I dare you to click this game ).
Give Up, Robot , as the title implies, is a game that features quite a challenge. With a staggering retro look it takes you way back to the 8 bit days.
After overcoming the initial graphical shock, i found this game to be very challenging and dynamic.
Give Up, Robot is a cute retro platformer, the kind we see on many flash sites today. It has very nice and colorful graphics ( too colorful in my opinion) and a very addictive game-play.
The object of the game is quite simple- Lead the robot from destination A to B. The road on the other hand is not that simple.
A lovely feature that helps our little friend upon reaching its destination is an efficient grappling hook. Using the hook is quite simple and easy, unlike other games that tried using this feature ( Like Fatman Go for instance)
On our way to the goal we will face platforms, moving objects and pixeled fire that will try consuming our robotic buddy. The game contains many levels and presents quite a challenge to the everyday gamer.
All in all this game is a top-quality retro game, it features many challenging levels, lots of traps, obstacles and no doubt possesses that distinctive 80's retro charm.
Pros- Addictive game-play, easy to learn, very challenging.
Cons- Might be reptitive from time to time, eye-popping graphics.
4 out of 5 Bgames stars.
