In Deadly Neighbours, you design your family and take on all the houses in the neighborhood to pay back a loan to a loan shark. Go from house to house to pick a fight and beat them into submission earning cash for every victory, while your loan shark gives you helpful tips along the way.

I don’t know what it is about this game but I really enjoyed it. The characters are kind of freakish in a Ren and Stimpy way, but not. The weapons are mostly pulled from household items with logical benefits like a mop cleaning up puddles that can hurt you family or a tennis racket that will deflect thrown objects back. The katana blade will even inspire your weird uncle into a charging attack just like at my last Thanksgiving-poor aunt Millie.

Pros: Gameplay, music, graphics are all solid. Creativity, innovation, and game design help with overall enjoyability and replayability.

Cons:Um. . . I played it too long? I wasted two afternoons more than I needed to?

I wouldn’t say the game is perfect, but, I have wasted too much time on it when I should have been working on my day job instead. There’s a beautiful multiplayer feature that allows you to take on other folks and see how well you designed your family for combat. You can also give your family perks that increase passive abilities like stone skin or pyromaniac-you have to play to see what I mean. Lastly, if multiplayer isn’t your thing try to accomplish collecting all the stamps to display your families combative prowess. Unless you just suck-then I’d keep that to yourself.

All in all a good time to be had by all: 4.5/5 Bgames stars
