Creative Kill Chamber is a neat little stick-man adventure game, where you try to escape a mysterious complex filled with baddies that you can murder and mutilate in a number of interesting ways. You mostly use the point and click style of game play to get around and acquire new weapons to help you pull of stylish, smooth kills on your way to freedom. The game itself is fairly short, but with all the different ways of getting kills it’s worth a replay or two. Even with the creative kills, it’s a fairly linear game, you have basically one or two options at a time and if you don’t pick the right ones it just won’t let you progress. This makes it so you don’t get stuck, and end up in a situation where you need a certain weapon but don’t have it, but also makes the game feel like it’s holding your hand at times. But in the end it’s a good way to keep things moving.
Some of the scenes involve very precise timing, you have to click the right area at the right time to avoid falling off a ledge or blow up a grenade at just the right movement. Sometimes it can take a while to get these just right, and these are really the only points in the game where you’ll get stuck. The action looks cool, and is very smooth, and since the game is so short you don’t really get tired of the stick-man style until you start working on replays. I know this “style” is fairly popular but personally I’ve never been a huge fan of stick man games, unless there is a really fun fast paced element to the game. This game defiantly has that feel to it, and it blends action and adventure nicely.
I give Creative Kill Chamber 3.5 Bgames stars out of 5.
