You have found the secret to remaining young! All you have to do is play tetris like puzzles to complete the path to the magic Elixir of Life. Be warned! you only have so much time to retrieve the potion before your rapidly aging body expires and passes on the Great Unknown.

Cheat Death is a simple puzzler, you must move blocks into position with no overlap or moving outside the designated parking area. Once the blocks are in place you enjoy seeing an aged man run across the screen to devour his gummi berry juice (shot out to the classic cartoonies out there) and bound off with renewed vigor.

Pros: The Puzzles are challenging and tetris is a timeless classic so it is a good blend and enjoyable. The difficulty increases significantly as you progress through the levels. The game interface was easy to use. The one element I enjoyed the most was introducing more complex elements as you moved along in the levels; stationary blocks, rotating, etc. It gave the game a sense of advancement as well as anticipation to see what the progression would be.

Cons: The sounds were repetitive and annoying, as was the music-one 20 second song on a loop will grind the nerves of even the most patient person. I really didn’t care for the pencil drawn graphics, most games it seems to add a unique flavor to the eye candy, this one just seemed half done.

Tough levels: I thought 15 was particularly hard to complete, no one element sticks out, but I couldn’t complete it without using the walkthrough. I appreciate games that include a walkthrough-though it would be nice to be able to jump to the level you’re stuck in.

All in all a decent game despite the graphics and sound-3 Bgames stars out of 5
