The trolls are coming and our only way to dispatch help is launching a hero, what a nice opening for a distance game.
Although Catapult Madness may seem rather like all the other cliche distance games where the goal is to obtain the longest distance in the shortest amount of time, this game is in fact somewhat, unique. The most profound thing that I've discovered whilst playing this game (through to the end i might add, not a very challenging game but challenging enough) is that, although you can’t obtain extra bomb ‘perks’ through your ‘travels’ it is possible to buy larger quantities at the shop. as well as this, the ‘spell’ perk, which shoots you further into the sky, actually requires some effort to perform, with the player having to outline the spell shape in a time span of 5 seconds to successfully completing. Even though this may seem a bit simple, the greater the skill level of the purchased spell, the greater the difficulty of the shape which must be outlined.
But, as we all know, a game is not measured on the power-ups alone. This game has a quite linear story line and the further you progress into the game the more you unlock, such as new skins or new ‘victims’ >:).
Catapult Madness has a quite large sky area that allows you to explore new heights, even though the goal is on the horizontal not the vertical.
Overall, this game was nothing but joy throughout the entire game and, if it wasn’t for quite simple designs and story line, would be quite a profound game.
