Bridge Tactics 2 is a bridge destruction game, you place your charges at strategic points and try to prevent the opposing army from crossing the bridge as you attempt to eliminate both the bridge and the army. Several medals are offered for various feats of accomplishment, like killing with your gun, obtaining 4 stars on every level, etc. 15 medals in all with a moderate level of difficulty. I have to say I’ve never heard of this franchise previously, so I tried it out. The scoring was much more kind and the gameplay was identical, you get new art and slightly different missions and bridge configurations.
Art/Graphics: .5/1
Many of this style of game has fairly basic or even sub par graphic elements-and while this game isn’t especially ground breaking, I felt the art was sufficient for the genre.
Music/Sound FX: .5/1
I found nothing special about the music and fx in this game, not a true negative, but not positive either. Best summed up as a ‘meh.’
Controls/Interface: .5/1
Same as the previous categories-if there was a negative it’s that the shots are slow to cycle when targeting the soldiers as opposed to the charges.
Story/Plot: .5/1
Your standard, “Stop them at all costs,” is implied but no real story to speak of. I don’t feel it’s a significant issue considering Bridge Tactics 2 is more puzzle than action game anyway.
Enjoyability/Replayability: 1/1
I had a good time playing this game, it’s not memorable, and I wouldn’t invest loads of time into it. But, a pass through once or twice to collect as many medals as I could make the game sufficient enough to give a higher score on.
All in all Bridge Tactics 2 is an okay play. 3/5 Bgames stars.
Loved it? Play the first Bridge Tactics.
