Arkandian Crusade is not your regular RPG game! While it contains some basic RPG fighting elements we have seen before, this game has some special charm that makes it quite addictive.
The game tells the story of a young hero that decides to change his fate forever by competing a set of tasks, also known as the Arkandian Legends.
We wil start the game by answering several short questions, after answering those questions we will be given our talents and profession. The answers will direct us to the arts of fighters, assassins or magic, talents that will be relevant to the game-play and fighting methods we will encounter during the game.
For the first try i have chosen the warrior, that as always gives an easier, yet more disabled fighting experience.
The game is building up slowly and lets you experience the game-play quite easily. While the first battle is impossible to win, you find out pretty fast, that it was all a preview for later to come, and your character is revived for the rest of the adventure.
During the game we discover the game-play is divided to 2 main mini-games, the common RPG turn based fighting ( That has been brought to perfection at LRD rebirth) and an additional feature, known as Defense Quests.
The Defense Quests are a totally different gaming experience and gives us a more strategic game-play. We will place our character anywhere on the board and try slaying all enemies in a matter that reminds chess or checkers.
Please note that each profession has its different fighting abilities.
During the game you will be sent to different adventures, both in Defense Quests and also on RPG mode, where you will explore the world map that will be filled with various adventures, like saving healing spells or locating ancient treasures.
I found Arkandian Crusade as a well-developed RPG games, with lots of content, upgrades and treasures to collect.
A very nice treat to D&D gamers.
