Your King has asked you to defend/conquer the realm in his name. You rush out to fight battle after battle to show your military superiority. As the game progresses you gain research points that will hopefully allow you the edge you need to pass the dreaded 6th level (It is by far the most difficult).
Pros: The game is difficult even with a mentioned ‘glitch’ (it’s not a glitch but a strategy, really). The upgrades give a measurable improvement. Graphics are similar to the original, nice for the game. The gameplay is smooth, campaign is enjoyable with increasing challenges as you move up.
Cons: The 6th level is disproportionately difficult. The gameplay can be monotonous if you’re not into this kinds of game-which I am, but I have to think of all the lovely readers out there-you’re welcome. AND FORPETE’S SAKE WILL SOMEONE WRITE SOME GOOD MUSIC FOR A GAME!!!! I am getting pretty tired of harping about it in my reviews. One big con is if you get stuck on a level, say level 6, you can’t keep replaying and hope you get it right. I ended up having to restart, fortunately it’s only level 6 and not 26, right?
I wish a had a few good tips or tricks for you, the only offering I have is this: The CP always send attackers in waves, starting with 2 soldiers and perhaps 2 archers. build up your tower to take out the soldiers and leave off the archers, they’ll only peg you for 2 points of damage a hit, this gives you ample time to upgrade your base and then start sending out your uber troops to take them out and onto the city. This doesn’t work so well on level 6 though.
All in all a pretty good game 4/5 Bgames stars
